Pros: Very solid piece, shorter throws, solid feel.
Cons: No directions, no re-greasing pack

Apart from only just being handed a bag with a sts in it, this product works great, if you just bought your Subie wait a few months to get a feel for how terrible your stock shifter is and then upgrade to a sts. I had my oem for almost 2yrs and with this added upgrade this part was well worth every penny!

Pros: alot shorter throws, sportier feel
Cons: no directions

I've only had it on for a little while but it has dramatically improved the feel when shifting. It seems sportier shifting and decreases your throws tremendously. Only took a half hour or so to install as I've never installed a sts before. Definitely quick and easy to change out and seems like high quality. Only negative is they give you no directions so I had to look it up, which wasn't a big deal since the walkthrough I used on here was perfect and I had no problems. A buddy of mine with an 06 LGT drove it and said he loves it and is definitely gonna do it on his ride here at some point. I'd recommend this shifter for sure, unless you like the long wobbly unsporty throws of the stock shifter, haha,

Pros: Reduced throw, quality welding, more feel
Cons: Exacerbates gearbox notchiness and heft

Got this because I was tired of the stock giraffe neck and U-Haul style throws. The throws on this are shorter, which allows you to change gear quicker. It also feels more direct. There is one thing you can't avoid though. This is a notchy gearbox by nature, reducing the shifter throw makes you notice the notchiness more at times. It's hard to differentiate "improved feel" with "slightly heavier to use," but I'll take it

Pros: Shorter throws, the shifter no longer blocks radio and HVAC when in 5th
Cons: Need a little more force to put into gear.

It thightens up the shifter and gets rid of alot of the wobble. It's worth it just don't add the kartboy front shifter bushing. I would say install the shifter first and make sure to trim the top plate to make sure the rod does not rub. Then drive it around and see if you like it. Then try the bushing. If you hear humming or it's hard to get into gear then take the bushing off.

Pros: Shorter throw, not as tall
Cons: Had to trim the metal plate

The shifter by it's self is good. The shifting is a bit more notchy which I like. I like the reduced throw and the shorter stick. I have a Prodrive shift knob and with the stock shifter it was to high. I had the Kartboy in for a week and liked it. I put in the Kartboy bushings and loved it!

Pros: fit, improved throw, quality build
Cons: none

Bought used for $80 from a member, so the price was right! This a well-built and designed product, the install went super-smooth and only took about 30-45 mins. The throw is reduced a good amount, height slightly. I actually like the notchiness, it feels very positive and removes the "rowing a rubber chicken" feel of the stock one.
