if your looking for a silent exhaust system this is probably not your best bet....the sound created is a deep one and really lets you know it when you get on it....i couldnt say how noticable the power gain was from this product alone becuase the downpipe was added at the same time but the combination of the two added significant HP.....for a sound clip visit http://www.jscspeed.com/lgt/lgt_base.html

A nice catback, definitely on the louder side. Mid and Y-pipe are 3" through, cans are big but can keep a stealth look. The stealth definitely goes away after starting the engine though. Almost too loud for me, but I love the rumble it gives. Really depends on personal taste, thus the pro and con rating for noise.
