Description: This turbocharger is assembled by BNR Supercars, utilizing Forced Performance billet HTA68 compressor wheel. This addition to the VF40 gives the ultimate response of a smaller turbocharger with the punch of a larger turbocharger. The VF40 comes with an 8cm turbine housing that outflows the MHI 7cm turbine housing. The larger turbine housing allows more flow and better power numbers. Upgraded actuators are optional for those wanting 20 or more psi (1.5 bar and up).

Pros: cost, ease of install
Cons: not quite as good as real HTA68

I bought this turbo because of the price and because of the fact that it was a direct stock replacement for my VF40 on my LGT. Turbo spools nicely and you can tell that it is handcrafted with care by a company that cares about their products. However, I found out after the fact that you need to replace your oil line with a high flow line from forced performance. I believe that if this is required to prevent turbo failure it should ship with this oil line just like other turbo companies. I was able to run about 20 pounds of boost on 91 octane. This turbo just doesn't seem to like pump gas. However, my tuner has said that prior experience with these turbos on E85 really wakes them up. I'm not sure how this turbo is rated for 420 horsepower-maybe on E85 with a huge front mount and a very generous dyno. If you are looking for a good bolt on experience and reliability for your daily driver then this turbo is for you, but if you really want a huge gains then spend the extra $400 and get a Dom 3 or 20G
