The Design
AST coilovers are monotube, high pressure nitrogen shock absorbers. Why do you care? Most other products on the market are twin tube designs and are not pressurized. Monotubes offer the biggest pistons for more control. Gas pressurization means the oil will never cavitate around the piston. This is particularly important in environments where the vehicle makes rapid changes in direction such as autocross and road racing. This is the same technology used on $7000 shocks packaged here in a competitively priced package.
ASTs are hand built
These kits are built from scratch, not bolted into a stock body or a custom body. They are shortened approximately 1" from stock height. This is important when you lower a car, if the body is not shortened, you'll run out of travel quickly. Couple this with Vorshlag camber plates and you'll have one of the largest suspension travel ranges in the business. The shocks have adjusters that install on the top of the strut/shock. No need to carry tools with you to make adjustments.
Pick your rates
Pick any rates you like front and rear. Most are in stock between 400 and 700 lbs/in. Special order any rates outside of that range. Vorshlag can always help tailor your rates to your style of driving.
Extras
Vorshlag is setup to offer custom valving services to our customers. There's no need to find a third party to get your valving done. Just bring them back to us and we'll get you the rates you need (fees apply). We warranty these shocks against manufacturer's defects the same as other shock companies.

Fantastic for DD and moderate track use. Very adjustable especially with the Vorschlag camber plates. I went with 450lb springs so it would not compromise my dd. If I used it more than a couple times a year at the track I might go NotMyGT's way. Great support fantastic customer service.

These are by far the best set of coilovers I have owned as of yet. I opted for the 550lb springs for the front and 700lb springs for the rear. With the shocks on the softest setting, it's not uncomfortable on the road. The shocks make the difference.
