Elkridge, Maryland – September 27th, 2007. Nine months ago, Racecomp Engineering answered the call of Subaru enthusiasts everywhere and released a coilover for the Subaru Impreza. Designed by enthusiasts and for enthusiasts, this coilover filled the needs that other options lacked. Seeing the need for a similar system for the Subaru Legacy GT and Spec B, Racecomp Engineering is proud to announce their highly anticipated Tarmac 1 complete coilover system. Racecomp Engineering Tarmac 1 coilovers are comprised of stainless steel dampers mated to linear race springs. Precise adjustments to rebound damping can be made throughout a wide range of adjustment. The Tarmac 1 coilovers feature 3 different daily drivable yet track worthy spring rates, helper springs, composite locking perches with safety perches added, a stainless steel corrosion resistant coating, and a limited lifetime warranty.
Valved specifically for American roads and circuits, these dampers feature more then enough travel to provide exceptional ride quality. Coupled with matched linear spring rates, body roll, squat, and dive are vastly reduced, resulting in improved grip and controllability at the limit.

Racecomp Engineering offers three spring rate options for the Tarmac 1 coilovers:
500 lbs/400 lbs will be (9kg/7kg)
400 lbs/400 lbs will be (7kg/7kg)
400 lbs/350 lbs will be (7kg/6kg)
