Description:

Once again Subaru has failed the enthusiast by placing a corrugated plastic restrictive hose between the turbo and the intake system. But PERRIN has devised an easy to install and attractive solution to this problem. Available in both 3” and standard sizes PERRIN™ offers choices for any turbo upgrade. Constructed of 6-ply silicone for strength, flexibility, maximize performance, prevent noise, utilize all available area and ease installation. Competitors try to imitate the benefits found with PERRIN™ but each fails in the attempt. We still maintain the status as the only inlet hose that can be installed without the costly removal of the intake manifold. Why bother with expensive gaskets, dangerous fuel, slippery coolant and additional time spent to install the inferior competition. Our inlet tubes can be installed in as little as 45 minutes! Why spend your entire weekend removing the intake manifold when you could be out enjoying the new performance you have discovered with the PERRIN™ inlet hose. Available in red, black and blue.

Pros:
Excellent quality part, faster turbo spool
Cons:
poor instruction/install manual, long install time
Ok, I will start with the bad: Perrin says one hour install time, that is about how long it took to get the stock inlet removed (1.5 hrs actually). The instructions are garbage and very basic so I researched forums and that helpped me with the crank hose sensor mounted top of the inlet (my instructions didn't include the info on what to do with this sensor)
Fitment is TIGHT so take your time, it will fit. It took me about 3-4 total hours with online research. This thing is time consuming to install and I would have been better off tossing the instructions in the garbage.
Ok, now for the good: Perrin quality part. Inlet looks good installed, and is much larger than stock. Throttle responce is smoother and there is more audiable feedback from turbo spool and the BOV. Logs indicate quicker spool (300 RPM) and a smother boost curve to redline.

I'd recommend this piece to everyone. The main reason I purchased one was do to the stock turbo inlet tube was cracked.
