I too did not have the issues of taskforcefreddy. Yes you had to be careful and it helped that I have power trim tools which I feel was the difference in a professional install. Trimming the stock bumper beam was the toughest due to the hardness of it but it came out fine. The one thing I did was I made 6 access holes in the front chamber of the beam so tightening the bushings was a snap. Nothing lost. The tips included about trimming the frame for clearance were all good. The ducts well to say the least they are tight and you have totake your time but,they look like they belong when you are done. IMHO a very well made kit. As for missing bushings from above I would have called Paul Hanson at AVO in Washington and I"m sure he would have sent them. I too was missing clamps when I inventoried the kit so I had to wait a week to get them.
After the remaining mods were installed and a trip to Cobb in Plano the car is a blast to drive...even in the heat!

This intercooler is definitely worth the money if you're planning on going with a bigger turbo later, or just want something different. The install was fairly easy, although getting to the throttle body was a bit of a pain. Directions come stapled together, which makes it easy to keep flipping pages with wrench and/or socket filled greasy hands.
I also made a pleasant discovery when I went to install my AEM CAI, and that is, with some trimming on the AEM's heat shield and a little vacuum hose split down one side, it is possible to make that intake work with this intercooler kit.
Overall, I'd have to say that it was plenty challenging for me, and I would highly recommend having at least one other person around to assist with the install. Approximate time to install the kit was between 4 and 5 hours (not quite sure, as I worked on it for a while, then came back the next morning). Definitely an awesome kit, and I'd purchase it all over again if presented with the opportunity.
Oh, and just a few words of warning: Be careful about how you take out the stupid pop-its in the wheel well, and on the underside of the bumper. If you screw these up, it could take a VERY long time to put it back together!

OK, bought this because everything else I have is AVO (AVO 420, AVO Intake, AVO Fuel Pump) and it claimed you can use your stock bumper beam and fog lights. Negative on both accounts. We trimmed the bumper beam and after doing that, had no-chance of getting it to line up with the mounting holes using the bushings provided. Speaking of which, I only had 3 of the required 6 bushings and ended up fabricating some however it wouldn't fit regardless so I scrapped the bumper beam altogether.
Onto the Bumper Cover. It says that some trimming is required to make the bumper cover fit. This is a typo as it should say "A lot" of trimming is required and you can forget about the fogs. Jordan's pictures up top show this very well as there's no room left for the fogs to fit.
Also, why hose clamps? I've installed a few turbo/intercooler setups but nothing pushing out the 22 psi that my current setup is. I've checked and re-checked all my hose clamps several times and everytime I check them, they've always seemed to have "backed off" a bit and are no longer taught. I guess this wouldn't be the worse thing but I had the solid discharge tube from the turbo pop off of the rubber discharge tube leading into the intercooler at WOT. I nearly sh*t myself as the sound of 22 psi releasing in tht manner is enough to do just that. BLUF: Get t-bolt clamps. I have and will be putting the on as soon as I get them.
After saying all that, would I buy this product? Sure. But I think I would find other ones out there first...can you say WBR? Never worked with it but from what I've heard, all the problems I've just listed are null with that FMIC. Just my $.02

I did not have any of the issues taskforcefreddy experienced, however, I was only running 18lbs of boost. Install was easy and I am by no means a mechanic (I work retail). It took me roughly an hour and a half to strip the front down and install the setup, it took me another 3 hours hand triming the inner bumper and many test fits. Keep in mind I was using a razor blade to cut and keep the cuts clean, a dremmel would have saved A LOT of time! After install was complete I never had to adjust any connections or had any hoses come loose, but I only ran the system for 3 months or so :o) I was getting ready to trade in my LGT so I took almost everything off. Great Product.
