Pros: high quality construction, looks/sounds great
Cons: mounting hardware insufficient, sits lower than stock cbe

Installation of the Borla CBE can be easily accomplished with 2 people or by yourself if you have an adjustable lift handy( for removal of the old system and ensuring the tailpipes are level when you mount the Borla). HOWEVER, it should be noted that a trip to the hardware store was necessary as the bolts that came with the system were too large to mate to the stock DP flange. I believe that I purchased 2"x5/16" . The exhaust note is slightly louder and much lower. I have not experienced drone at any speed. Great system with the exception of the mounting hardware.

Pros: no drone, good quality,
Cons: not loud enough for me, tricky to fit on OBXT, not cheap

I had the Borla Hush on my WRX wagon and it was perfect, while still a sleeper. This isn't the same sound or volume, with the windows up or down.

This one matches the volume of the engine exactly, and I wanted a little louder and more growl/bass so I could better hear what revs I am at without looking while rallycrossing. I still want a sleeper, but this is a little too quiet for me.

I'll try DP and see how it sounds.

It isn't listed as matching the XT on the website, so I anticipated trimming the rear bumper, but it was trickier than that. With the supplied hangers it pulled the mufflers against the metal box that supports/backs the bumper, so it would buzz and rattle.

It also came up about four inches short of the edge of the bumper, so it would have gotten the bumper constantly black with exhaust. So after trimming a square out of the bottom of the bumper, the exhaust shop actually welded on a couple extra inches of downward-angled pipe onto the tips so they extend to the edge of the bumper and are not close enough to melt the plastic. = $150 install

Pros:
Cons:

UPDATE: after about 1000 miles my Borla has gotten a little louder, and "comes alive" a little more under full throttle. It still doesn't have the same growl and volume as the Borla I had on my WRX.

Pros: slightly louder than stock
Cons: not loud enough for me, no noticable increase in power

This is a well-made product with a long warranty. The stock system was very convoluted and heavy in comparison to the Borla. However, the exhaust isn't as loud as I had hoped and the power increase from the Borla is little to none. I am sure with other modifications to the car, the power increase could be huge, but if you plan to install any catback, dont expect to feel it anywhere else but your wallet. The reason I gave this product an 8, is because although it isnt all that loud, it is loud enough for most, its constructed with high quality materials and its fitment and looks are excellent.

Pros: Love The Sound/Construction
Cons: Nothing

I love the sound its not to loud so everyone looks at me weird. But its loud enough so ppl admire my car. Nothing you can do about the price but its worth it IMO.

Pros: 1,000,000 mile warranty. Great sound. Excellent finish
Cons: Gas mileage got worse

My L GT LTD with Cobb DP (Stage II ECU) was really fast... but very quiet. Not sure what it did for making the car faster... but it now sounds awesome. Not buzzy at all. Not too loud to wake the neighbors... but loud enough to make your chest stick out every time you start the car. Gas mileage did suffer though...

Pros: Deep tone, no droning on the highway
Cons: It would be even been better for $100 less

Got it Christmas morning and had it installed Christmas night. Excellent instructions, great fitment, fantastic quality of materials, really nice exhaust tips...

The sound is deep, but not buzzy or ricey. I can't believe a four cylinder can sound like this. Sounds mean around town when accelerating, but quiets to a purr on the highway without any droning. It's not super loud, so not a good choice if fast and furious is your style. It is perfectly matched to the refined sports sedan the Legacy GT is.

My only complaint is that it is not cheap, but I guess you have to pay for quality.

Pros: Great sound, period. Oh, and light compared to stock
Cons: Hangs low for my taste

I liked it alot. Deep but not ricey is perfect description. I am a grown a*s man and can't be driving to my job like a dork. No serious performance increase, but we will see with other additions.

Pros: Sound!
Cons: Price

IMO, this exhaust sounds great! No drone at any RPM and never gets annoying. Just a nice, deep tone. Got this piece put on with the Cobb catted DP. I really don't think I would want it to sound any different! Looks awesome as well. Same shape as stock, just a little bit larger.

Pros: Nice rumble in cabin, not loud enough to wake neighbors
Cons: Almost too quiet

The Borla CBE has made the nice rumble of the boxer engine much more audible in the cabin, and also outside when you get on the throttle. When not on heavy throttle it has a very timid tone outside. Contemplated replacing the resonated section with a straight pipe to see the outside audible difference, but have been told when an aftermarket DP is introduced it makes the sound louder. Will wait till then and re-review when I go stage 2.
