Fitting a short-throw quickshift gearshift lever reduces the distance required to shift gears from one ratio to the other, this makes changing gears a more natural 'flick of the wrist' gearshifting is more positive and direct, and takes away the feeling of having to 'row' the car along by the gearstick.

I went from the factory short shifter to the AVO with new bushings. Slightly shorter throw and about 1-1.5" shorter height. Feels great. Like the lower height the most. Would be a huge improvement over the stock shifter set up. Kinda wish I had the double adjustable just so I could play with the height, but like I said, it feels just about right the way it is.
