Description:
|
The AccessPORT by COBB Tuning, Inc. is a handheld programmer that allows you to unlock your vehicle's hidden potential by reprogramming the stock Engine Control Unit (ECU).
With a short and guided installation process you can upgrade the ECU in your car from stock to one of our performance oriented tuning maps. The unit uses the OBD-2 diagnostic port, and requires no cutting, wiring, or other such modifications, simply plug-and-play.
The crowning function of the AccessPORT is COBB's unique 'Real-Time' mapping, which allows you to change the tuning data within seconds, as opposed to minutes. Simply park, switch realtime, and resume driving, it's literally that easy.
Using our off-the-shelf staged maps, the AccessPORT can unlock the potential of your vehicle by as much as 50hp, and more based on further modifications. The possibilities are endless since the AccessPORT is a short ProTUNE away from giving your car even more potential from the staged maps.
The AccessPORT's features include:
» On-the-fly map switching
» Monitor vehicle sensor data and display in analog or digital format
» Vibrant color graphic display with First-Ever full 260,000 color OLED, high-resolution screen
» Read/Clear engine trouble codes
» Preloaded with performance, economy and convenience maps
» Update via the Internet
» Measure 0-60 and ¼ mile times
» Adjustable on-screen Shift Light functionality
» Estimates horsepower and torque
» Displays current and averaged fuel economy
» Drag race simulation with reaction time and “time slip” data
» Built in on-screen help mode function
» Multi-Language support
» RoHS compliant (Lead Free design)
» Custom performance tuning for your specific vehicle and modifications as provided by an
authorized AccessPORT ProTUNER™ center, or upgrade to the StreetTUNER™
software package for do-it-yourself tuning

Hands down best mod i've done, easy to install and safe for the car. I ran my tbe for a few days w/o the tune, and let me tell you, after check engine lights and overheating, it made this thing worth every penny, and the gains are 110% there thanks Cobb

Incredible bang for your buck! I would never own a subaru without one. I just traded the 2006 Legacy GT for a 335xi and am buying an AP for the bimmer too. They are $900! I no longer need the LGT access port, and would like to get $500 for it, all hardware, case, cd and cobb stickers. Let me know if you are interested. I unmarried the unit from the legacy last weekend. Please let me know if you're interested, because I can not wait to install another one!!! VROOMBA!

Just used mine and damn my car is fast now. I only chose the Stage 1 93 octane rating as I am stock aside from a K&N air filter and a LWCP. This thing is so worth the money. My car feels like it has gained at least 15-25 horsepower at the wheels- at the push of a button! Amazing. Buy it.

this thing is awesome. plugged it in, picked the map I wanted and bam, instant power increase. feels like a completely different car and the launch control is by far the sweetest thing about it. All in all this makes me want a custom tune really bad but for now this will def keep me happy for a while.

everything that it was promosed to be!

You have to pay to play! No si-drive functions as of now
|

I think that everyone has said just about everyhting that can be said about the AP's. Yes they are expensive, but they do exactly what they are supposed to, and the new units are not as bad to look at. Mine came with defective cables, but Cobb called the local dealership and told them to give me new cables and they would send out new cables that day. So I got new cables, and didn't have to wait for them to arrive!!
I chose a stage II map, and the power was everywhere. The car feels great, not studder at all (none has developed after several thousand miles of driving), and I like the versatility of being able to switch maps for different situations. The gas mileage map works as well as the stage II map, so when I have to drive in bumper to bumper traffic on the interstate my mileage doesn't suffer like it does with the more powerful maps.
I would like to see the unit use si-drive. As of now si-drive does the same thing that it did on the stock map. I would like to see the feature used to switch maps on the fly, or alter boost levels, or something. Maybe that is a bit out of the realm of this product, or maybe it will be available in the future. I just would like to see it used somehow.

I have a 2005 GT with a God awful hesitation. The engine was replaced by Subaru about 3 months ago (long story). In any event, the car has been back quite a bit for performance issues. The hesitation is worse than ever. They did the ecu update about a year ago (UPG48). I want to buy this Cobb instrument, but cant extend $695. Does anyone have one to sell or know where I can buy one cheaper?

love it! can find them used for a little cheaper than new. the V2 also saves your base map that came fromt he factory so you can always put it back if you de-mod your car or have to change it around for emissions. The ability to hold multiple maps on it and change on the fly is also an excelent thing. a lot of good tuners use the access port software to tune as well and you then have your map saved on your access port and computer for yourself. easy to use and well tested product.

Aside from the obvious tuning capabilities and higher power levels, the Accessport serves as my boost gauge (decided I have no use to buy one now) and in-car OBDII scanner. It is awesome to be able to scan your codes while driving RIGHT WHEN they appear. Also, the ability to realtime tune makes this unit worth its weight in gold. Plus, the other fun features such as a built-in G-tech to measure 0-60 and 1/4 mile, or anti-theft mode (which sets the max engine RPMs to 500) don't hurt. I am glad I chose this over open source for those reasons.

Great piece, and awesome HP gains what else can I say. Also the anti theft feature is better than any car alarm you can buy. You simply get so much stuff out of this little device that it can't be justified not to get it.
