They don't brake in reverse! Very dusty.

OEM brakes are a gem compared to this rubbish.
I replaced both front and rear and have run them in as per instrustions. 1,000 km later they still do not brake effectively to a complete stop when reversing the vehicle and they produce a lot of dust. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Great DD pad, very even response to pressure applied, works well for autox/light duty track days
Cons:
bit more dusty than stock, not for the novice driver as it requires you to understand high-performance braking techniques
rated 10 as DD, as they are vast improvement over stock. You will have to change your braking style to get the full effectiveness. The timid need not apply (well, this applies to all high perf pads). A timid application of brake pedal will result in timid braking (takes longer to stop). If you are a intermediate track/lapper, you might find these pads will fade before session's end. If you are novice lapper, you should be fine.

(1) Much improved initial bite over OE. (2) No noise

None so far.

1/17/07 - Bought a new, leftover 2005 LGT Wagon 2 weeks ago. OE brakes and tires (RE92) are the worst combination I've ever felt. Did my research and found a lot of people recommended the HPS. Yesterday, I went to JSC Speed in Warminster, Pa. and bought a set of front and back brakes after checking with several PeP Boys shops in the area. All told me they are no longer carrying Hawk Brakes though Hawk continues to list them as a carrier. The people at JSC were great.
WARNING: In their PDF catolog on their website, Hawk lists the front brakes as HB432.661. JSC told me they had a different stock number but I insisted they give me what Hawk's site listed. Well, they were too small. The back set were right but not the front. I drove back down to their shop and they gave me a set of HB533.668 which fit like a glove.
I then went to a large parking lot and burnished them in. All I can say is that they are a "huge" improvement over the stock brakes. I thought there might be some noise but they are quiet as can be. I figure the dust will be a little more but so what, I have the ability to stop now. I have a set of 960 Poles on order and I believe they will help even more.

Better than OEM, same amount or less dust than OEM
Cons:

Not as quite as i would like them to be (but i brake hard... a lot)
I installed the HPS Hawk pads front and rear, and at the same time i added front stoptech slotted rotors. The OEM brakes suck, and this combo is a noticable improvement. I drive in a spirited fashion, so I need the additional reassurance. I just wish i had the cash for rear slotted rotors too.

put these on last night. Though i have performance tires the braking distance is greatly reduced.. These are great pads for the price. I put these on stock OEM rotors. But i love them so far. gave these a rating of 9. Seems after hard braking of around 4-5 times you will get some brake fade. but who will stand on the brakes in spirited driving that much.

Pros:

more pedal feel
Cons:
cost more than local parts store replacements but you get what you pay for

I use these for street use. I have not tried any other brands yet, but they are significalty better than stock, in terms of pedal feel. I can't say for sure if they stop the car any quicker, since I've never measured stopping distance. The pedal is slightly stiffer which is good cause the stock set up is way too soft.
note: I turned the stock rotors when putting these on, and still have the stock brake lines. SS brake lines are my next upgrade.

Better than stock braking at hwy spds
Cons:

More dust than stock

Added these to Goodridge lines and dba 4000 slotted rotors. Good package for the money. Minimal fade after repeated braking at 100+. Seriously deficient when wet and cold on city streets. Good response in traffic at highway speeds in any conditions.

Not a BBK,

For daily spirited drivers, these are good pads with low noise. Dust is a little more, but the improvement over stock is incredible. I paired new pads with ss lines and fluid, and I'm quite satisfied with the stopping power.
Haven't had fade with 4 80mph>10mph stops, fade with 4 100+, I don't plan on tracking my car...

I love these. A very reasonable price to increase quality of braking. its important to be able to stop quickly with all that power you are destined to add once the mod bug bites

Pros:

Improved pedal feel and feedback gives more driver confidence and a semingly improved stopping distance
Cons:
Considerably more dust than OEM pads.
I said seemingly improved stopping distance because I doubt that these pads make much difference in stopping distance - If the antilock is working and you are not repeatedly braking from speed, the limiting factor of braking is your tires (and suspension keeping you on the ground).
What this upgrade did (PAIRED WITH DBA 4000 slotted rotors) was give a much more positive pedal feel, braking came on much more rapidly (less pedal effort = more braking power) and much better feedback. All this added confidence has definately allowed me to brake considerably later into turns...
I highly suggest HPS pads with DBA4000 slotted rotors along with your stage 2 upgrade!

Very happy with these pads. Using F&R paired with DBA4000 slotted. Car is DD. Stock brake lines. Good stopping power with linear feel. Braking is silent.
