Description:
|
AVO's big power ball-bearing turbocharger for the Subaru Legacy GT, Spec B, and Outback XT is here! The AVO450 is your ticket to the pro leagues, capable of giving the Legacy some serious pavement-ripping power. Based upon our famous Edge Series design, this Garrett ball-bearing turbocharger is still streetable while giving you the edge at the circuit or dragstrip. Our turbochargers are designed from the ground up for performance, removing all the compromises inherent in OEM designs.
Our high-flow AVO450LGT compressor housing is fit with a much larger CHRA center and an AVO 4-5 exhaust housing designed for the Subaru Legacy family. This is a larger exhaust housing than the AVO 3-4 on the AVO380lgt, and allows for much higher boost levels without worry of back pressure. As this is a fairly serious turbo it will be necessary to upgrade to a hi-flow fuel pump and fuel injectors. And of course, the more air it can pump, the better it works, so seriously plan for hi-flow intake and full turbo-back exhaust upgrades as well. While this turbo can operate with a high-flow TMIC, a FMIC will become necessary past 400hp.
All of our ball-bearing turbochargers are water-cooled and come with the proper oil and water lines, and a 15psi adjustable AVO solid wastegate actuator that allows fine tuning of boost levels. AVO turbochargers have been designed to withstand the harshest conditions around the world, and have undergone extensive on-location testing in them to ensure only the best for our customers, where ever they may be. AVO products are not designed to be as reliable as OEM - they are designed to be much better than OEM. High nickel content housings ensure our turbos will go the distance. And the Garrett compressor and turbine wheels are light weight with knife-like edges for unmatched spooling, yet built strong for reliability. An AVO ball-bearing turbocharger is likely to outlast your engine.
And now for the dyno chart from the AVO450lgt on a Legacy GT fitted with the AVO FMIC, an AVO TBE, intake, TGV deletes, fuel pump and injectors, with an ECU tune. 448hp was seen at the crank, or 368whp and 378ft/lbs of torque at the wheel (460ft/lbs at the crank).
