Description: This downpipe is very similar to the Invidia catless downpipe except that it includes a high flow cat just aft of the cast bellmouth.

Pros: Great part
Cons: none

Bought this new and realized later I payed a little too much for it, but it's a great part and I have no regrets! Install was easy, and I'm running about 10 more HP than my friend with a stock gutted UP/DP compared to Invidia

Pros: better flow then stock
Cons: still won't pass emissions

Good quality and fit, however, this down pipe will not pass emissions (high NOX) and will throw CEL for high catalyst. Why pay the extra for a cat if it will not pass the sniff?

Pros: Excellent build quality, it's a work of art!
Cons: Brand new it's fairly pricey.

Bought this used for $350 with only about 1000 miles on it. The welds, bends, bellmouth, etc... are all very high quality. For the price, I can't complain one bit.
Though I don't know if it makes a difference, I prefer the bellmouth design of this downpipe to that of the more "traditional" design such as on the Cobb. This is a divorced wastegate bellmouth, where the bellmouth is split in to two chambers and seperated by a piece of metal. The pictures provided here make that hard to see, but it can clearly be seen on the catless downpipe review (here).
Everything bolted up beautifully, and I was even able to re-use the stock donut gasket.

Pros: Beautiful welds
Cons: poor fitment at downpipe/catback joint

This downpipe is beautifully welded and polished, and I was really looking forward to putting it on. I installed it wtih a Magnaflow catback, and it leaked. I spent 45 minutes trying to straighten the joint to stop the leak. No such luck. My only other choice was to go to a local muffler shop and have them weld another flange to mate to the catback. Despite paying $75 for the flange install, it was still cheaper than a Cobb catted downpipe. Despite the really really nice sound, I'd have to say if I had to do it all over again, I'd get another downpipe.

Pros: Nicely built
Cons: Stupidly Designed

It's cheaper than comparable parts such as the Cobb by about $100, but the thing is designed stupidly. It angles up severly towards the driveshaft of the car which means the dpipe-to-mpipe flange is misaligned, both with the stock mp and the megan racing cat-back mp I used. The piece is nicely built, but this design flaw means you will most likely have to cut off the rear flange and install a new one so it lines up properly, or you'll hear it slamming into the bracket shielding the driveline under the car every time you shift with a bit of vigor.

YMMV but I'd say save yourself the time/hassle, I'd get a different catted DP if you want one, even if its $100 more.

Pros: Excellent material/welds & fitment on 5EAT
Cons: None

Installed this catted DP on an 05 LGT 5EAT wagon. Fitment was perfect and easy to complete with no interference whatsoever with the undercarriage or driveshaft. Bolts up to the stock mid pipe fine without issues. I am very impressed with this DP and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Invidia for any
5EAT fitment. Welds look really good and overall quality looks immaculate.
DP looks great installed. I have read that some had problems fitting this DP on other models/ MT trans but it seems that the design was updated to resolve those issues.

Pros: Excellent build quality. Material and welds are nice and consistant.
Cons: The divorce flange needs to be trimmed down to fit the '08 (and newer??) Leggy turbos properly.

So far this is a nice DP. I am running this on a stock exhaust system and have noticed a little deeper tone at idle and during revs. It is a very subtle sound.

My only complaint was what I stated for the Negative. I'm not saying it is a big draw back, but it is worth noting for anyone that wants to run this pipe on a 08+ Leggy. This MAY apply to Imprezas too, but anyhow, now you know. If this is installed without trimming the flange, the waste gate on the turbo will make a clicking sound, something like a loose bolt when hitting the flange. Any tune shop should be able to fix this up no problem upon install.

Other than that little issue, it is a nice DP and some good gains are possible with it.

Pros: Beautiful craftsmanship
Cons: fitment could be better

Just installed mine. I really like it except the misalignment to my Borla CBE. It isn't terrible but enough that I will have to change something soon. Would recommend.

Pros: not loud, good looking, after mod fitment is good
Cons: modification needed, install took 4hrs

great pipe.. good fitment.. it is well known that you have to trim for the waste gate .... I took a grease stick covered the flange of the DP, bolted it up, manually moved the waste gate, took it down I clearly saw were it hits, cut a square part out of the flange.. looks clean, I did not notice a sound difference until i really got on it but that is what i wanted, if i wanted loud i would have gone catless
