The SEMA Award Winning WorxTuning LowMass Crank Pulley is an excellent way to free up that extra power from your boxer motor. Providing over a 4lb. reduction of rotating mass at the crank, our pulley will improve engine acceleration and response. Best of all, our 1.3 lb crank pulley is a direct replacement to the stock unit.
What sets the Worx pulley apart from the others available?
Minimal weight- We were able to get the weight to a bare minimum through extensive structural analysis. Areas of mass critical to strength are thicker while areas on non-critical mass are minimized. This is especially important as you get farther away from the center of the pulley.
Reduction in noise transmission- The stock pulley is essentially a massive chunk of iron. This has a major effect on dampening any slight noise transmitted by the accessories driven by the pulley. Most aftermarket pulleys transmit too much of this noise, which can cause random erratic readings by the sophisticated engine management, and hinder performance. The WorxTuning pulley design actually dissipates transmittable noise before it can reach the center hub.
It is non-underdriven- Our pulley is is the same dimensionally as it's stock counterpart. It was very common in the past to use an underdriven pulley to reduce the effective effort required to turn the accessories. This will cause poor charging system performance and overall drivability issues. Similar results can be achieved by a simple reduction in mass without sacrificing and drivability of your vehicle.
