The PERRIN™ down pipe is constructed of mirror polished, 304 stainless steel and designed for maximum horsepower. To increase exhaust velocity all piping is made of mandrel bent, 3" diameter stainless steel piping. Bends are minimized throughout the entire length of the down pipe smoothing exhaust flow. The stock Subaru down pipe has no built in provision for expelled waste gate gasses. These gases are forced to combine with the exhaust gas coming from the turbo turbine causing turbulence, which can impede exhaust flow. Reducing air turbulence will increase exhaust flow and spool the turbo up faster. This downpipe utilizes a divorced wastegate design.
