Description:

Autospeed makes this gorgeous and great-sounding exhaust. Piping is 3" in diameter back to the custom-made Y, then 2.25" to the mufflers, capped by a single double-walled 4" angle-cut tip on either side. Mandrel bending ensures the smoothest bends, and TIG welding throughout makes for perfect joints. The entire system is fully polished.
The sound is very deep, with a nice boxer rumble from outside the car, and a muffled burble from inside the cabin. It's nothing that will offend the neighbors, but you won't mistake it for the virtually silent stock exhaust.
Turboback option (with catted downpipe) available.
Sedan or Wagon specific versions available.
Install notes: This system was designed and fitted on cars with stock sway bars. If you use a non-stock sway bars or extreme lowering, we cannot guarantee the sway bar will not contact the exhaust. Also note that manufacturing tolerances vary from car to car, so some adjustment may be necessary to get the tips to fit exactly the way you want in the rear valance.

Install was pretty straight forward, but unfortunately I wasn't able to get the whole turbo back, as Autospeed is out of the downpipes. I was told that the catback will work with most aftermarket exhaust systems. So, I went to install the Cobb Catted DP, and noticed that the stock donut gasket (from the end of the stock DP) wouldn't fit inside of the mid pipe.
After much cajoling and lots of smacking, I got the two to mate up using some bolts I got from home depot. Now that it's on, I have noticed no leaks, and I'm extremely impressed with the tone of the exhaust! The video does no justice when it comes to the rumble that accompanies this catback, and I personally have never found the sound to be annoying or droning at any time.
I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a decently priced catback, but I would also say that you should hurry... it seems as though they've only got a few left.

Sound and Look are simply awesome and WAY APPROPRIATE for the LGT - loving it!!  Nuff said. It is indeed substantially louder then OEM but not nearly as loud as Perrin, Megan, or others. There is a little droning but not bad at all when settled down in highway cruising.
However, I PULLED my hair out with this installation as
(1) there was no documentation whatsoever. No biggie here. Just had to play lego puzzles for a few minutes while mocking it up. HIGHLY recommend mocking it up first. You need a good 14" or higher off the ground if using jack stands to use the creeper for this job. Helps to have a helping hand but I did it alone - not to painful. If someone has little mechanical/auto-repair experience, this is not for them
(2) FITMENT - SUCKS ASS IMO for what I expect from this priced item. Still not fixed. I had no driveshaft rubbing but it's really close. It's also very close to the rear sway. The middle/resonator hanger is fine. The muffler hangers needed mucho manipulation/stretching and the mufflers still DON'T LOOK RIGHT. One side sticks out more then the other. The passenger side is touching/rubbing the plastic and I just can't position it centered the way it should be. I guess I'm gonna have to try Kartboy hangers or something. Someone please chime in if you have the fix.
(3) FITMENT to COBB Catted DP - not good. Cobb DP actually has a smaller opening then the TBE but that's a minor issue. I guess the perfectionist could chop off the Cobb DP after the HF-Cat (where it funnels down to 2.5" or so) and have a muffler shop weld on a short SS piece to mate it exactly to the diameters, bah - not me. Flanges line up fine but need manipulation while slowly tightening to center - no biggie. OEM bolts become useless. I had to take my bike to Home Depot while leaving my LGT mid-air to buy bolts. I used two 5/16" x 2" bolts with washers and lock-washers - they work perfectly. GO BUY ThE BOLtS BEFORE STARTING THIS MOD. Some have drilled out the Cobb flange to use the OEM bolts. Whatever works I guess.
I used high-temp copper RTV on both sides of all Autospeed supplied gaskets (ditched the OEM cone copperand have zero leaks.
System is beautiful though and sounds amazing. This is the exact sound and level of sound I was looking for  . Thought they'd have worked out these BS issues though  after 2 or 3 years of selling this system.

OK. I'm not gonna lie, I had a muffler shop install the exhaust for me. I was on a time schedule to install a bunch of other mods and didn't want to be tied up with this. The shop had a couple issues with the install, mainly with the fitting of the down pipe to the new exhaust. They got the two together and used a bunch of sealant as well. No issues with leaks whatsoever. The only issue I have is some sort of grinding noise that comes from the back of the car whenever you downshift. It sounds pretty horrendous and I think it has something to do with the rear sway bar but haven't had the time to trouble shoot it. Other than that, it's a nice setup. The sound couldn't be better. Nice and subtle at normal speeds. Rumbles real nice at higher RPM's. Overall, I would highly recommend it.

Picked it up about half a year ago. This exhaust is nice......but fitment is poor.
There are 2 fitment issues: 1) Y pipe touching the RSB, and 2) muffler not align.
1) I had the muffler shop to install it, and they had to cut and extend the Y pipe. Therefore, if you look under my car, you will see the welding (not that pretty). I did not use the RSB relocation brace, and currently running Cusco RSB. The clearance b/t Cusco RSB and the Y pipe is only 2mm apart. Yes, they touch each other sometimes, so I recommand using longer exhaust hanger on the "S" pipe.
2) Muffler does not align. However, after they cut and extend, it is perfect now. They had to cut the passenger side muffler hanger, and re-weld for adjustment.
Overall, glad I took it to the muffler shop for installation.
If you can pick up one used, go ahead. Otherwise, I do not recommand you getting it new. Also, NOT recommanded to install yourself because fitment is really poor.

The sound of this exhaust is amazing, and was exactly what I had hoped for. Loud enough to be heard, but not annoyingly so. Performance is great, I had a 30 whp increase from their turbo back and an SPT intake. The fitment does leave a bit to be desired though. Mufflers don't line up perfectly, but I don't know of too many that are perfect. The driver side kept falling off of the stock hangers, but that issue was easily corrected with Cobb poly hangers which also aligned the tips better. The y pipe is very close to the stock RSB and even closer to my COBB RSB, but I havent noticed any signs of contact, the poly hangers probably helped this as well. My only major complaint is that the exhaust does make minor contact with the drive shaft from time to time. I mainly notice it when reversing. Havent noticed it while downshifting, and contact does appear to be minor. If you are worried then I would say look somewhere else, but I would buy it again, but would install a set of poly hangers at the same time.
