Description: Tokico's HTS shocks are adjustable dampening units with an extremely wide range of adjustment, from cushy to rock-hard-stiff. Each has an adjustment screw on the top that allows for continuous adjustment throughout the dampening range, so you can dial in each corner to match your springs and your driving style.

Set of four shocks. Bolts directly to any 2005 Legacy GT. May fit other Legacy models.

Install note: These struts require either JDM or USDM Spec B front top hats.

Set of four shocks.

Pros: Great quality and fit. Very adjustable.
Cons: No warranty in USA

Paid $575 delivered (but not from a vendor, sorry). For the money the struts are of excellent quality. Fit was perfect and even had all the factory connections up front for the brake lines and ABS. Struts are surprisingly very adjustable. 1/2 turn is quite a difference.

On the rear I was unable to hold the piston and tighten the nylon lock nut down. This is not Tokicos fault, the rear mount position is a difficult place to fit tools. So I used 2 grade 8 nuts on each side. Used the first to torque to spec and the second to lock the first in place. Total cost for the 4 extra nuts=$1.00.

These struts are intended for the JDM model Legacy so you need to use USDM Spec B front top hats. Not a big deal since they use a beefier bearing and stiffer rubber compound. Got them from Jeremy at Fred Beans (Thanks Jeremy). Be aware of the change in front ride height with this combo though. I installed with Swift springs and the front now sits approx. 5/8" higher than the rear.

Also, because these are meant for JDM installations the warranty is apparently void when used on USDM cars. I assume if you got them under the D-Spec name the warranty would be valid. The only difference between the two is the color (red for HPS and black for D-Spec).

Overall I am very happy with the struts and would recommend them to anyone who is looking to upgrade from stock. Because of their excellent adjust ability (from much softer than stock to much stiffer) they should be a good match for many spring combination's.
