Pros:
Cons:

What is this TDC everyone keeps talking about? I have no clue. I have tried google and there is no "tdc tuning" web site, per se. The reviews here give high marks for a $50 add-on/map, but .... WHERE do I get it? Thanks anyone that can point me in the right direction

Pros: Idiot-proof, reliable and a big difference in power
Cons: A bit pricey if bought brand new

This should be the first mod done to these cars, hands down. Install takes less time than changing wiper blades, noticable difference even stage 1. Stage 2 is like a night and day difference!

Pros: Easy to install, Easy to use, Good safe power.
Cons: Would like to see a bigger variety of maps

I had a AP for my WRX, used both Stage 1 and Stage 2 maps. I loved it, great power and it drove so much better then stock. I knew I wanted a AP for the Legacy every since I bought my car. I got my AP and installed it in about 30 minutes, was quick and easy, the directions on Cobb's site were great.

Driving impressions were very good, a Stage 1 Legacy GT is faster then a Stage 2 WRX by good messure. It just pulls away from it. The studder between 2-4k rpms that lots of people have noticed when stock is pretty much gone now, and will probably go away completely once the AP learns more as time goes on.

Really for the money their is no better mod for the Legacy GT. Can't wait to go stage 2, just need to get a Cobb DP.

Pros: Quick, easy power. Wonderful driveability!
Cons: None, the cost is well worth the gains/flexibiity.

I own a 2005 Atlantic Blue LGT 5MT wagon. I pre-ordered this AP from HotSubaru.com. I live in Michigan, received the product only 4 days after release.

This little unit is spectacular. My driving impressions are as follows:
- Much improved response and acceleration,
- Improvement in part throttle acceleration,
- Vehicle seems to run smoother (91 octane MT Map)
- The Real Time map switching is great, and allows for you to try your vehicle in stock configuration as well the COBB modified Maps,
- I have witnessed 16.2 psi boost levels from my stock turbo(stage 1 91 octane MT), while running the stock fuel map I can hit 13.5 psi. I am running the 91 octane Stage 1 base map. My only mod is the AVO BOV.

Highly recommended!!!

Pros: Performance as Promised
Cons: Map switching not all there.

I ran the AP for about a week with the Stage 1 91 map. The Performance was Excellent as expected.

The first day I ran it I tried to switch the map to valet. My car would not start, and even after an ECU Reset, I had to revert to stock and start over.

After a week I tried to switch maps to Stage 1 93. Again the car would not start. I then changed the actual base map to Stage 1 93 and it still would not start. After trying to change the base back to Stage 1 91 and it would not start, I had to revert to stock again.

When not changing maps, Access Port was great! One of the great features is that you don't use one of your '100' flashes when you change a map. Well, I ended up using 4 of my ~100 flashes since the map changes prevented my car from starting and I had to revert to stock twice.

If it weren't for this bug I would recommend this product highly. Not everyone has the problem, but I am not alone either. If this gets acknowledged and fixed I may purchase one in the future, but for now I will most likely be sending it back.

Pros: Improved driveability AND performance
Cons: None

I have flashed a Cobb Stage 1 ( 91 Octane 1.01 map) in my 5EAT, and it has done only good. Pulls like a train across the rev range, with improved torque low down. As someone said, the car feels like it is straining at the lease now. This is how it should have come from the factory.

Clear instructions - (finding the test mode connector was a bit tricky ), but 30 minutes later I was driving and stoked.

No major effect on economy - I would say overall it has cost 1 mpg on both city and highway.

Pros: Very Simple to use
Cons: Ugly as sin to look at

OK, so to say that the only downside is that it's an eye sore should tell you I think the product is great. It really transformed the car and am looking forward to going to stage 2. I also have a Perrin Intake and was a little hesitant because of the possibility of running too lean but have had no problems whatsover. Have done 3 flashes now (Stage 1 93/Stock/Stage 1 91) and have noticed there is a bit of a difference between the 91 and 93. 93 just seemed to respond better but am relocated to an area that doesn't have 93 octane and am forced to stick with 91. Boost comes on much sooner and turbo lag is reduced immensely. Would like to see a product someday that could be more appealing cosmetically as in the Apexi VAFC-II which is functional and intriguing to look at. But like I said, if this is the only downside, then there are no REAL complaints about this product. Get this device.

Pros: I got the TDC protuned COBB AP, it is amazing!!
Cons: price..... (not TDC's fault)

The AP I ordered from TDC is great! Its a regular COBB AP with TDC's protuned map loaded into it.
the prtune map enhances my car from 191 WHP to 237 WHP. It completely eliminates any studder problem that I had. The car pulls faster all the way through, and the best improvement is up top (between 50mph and 65mph) I havent really had a chance to test it out because I have not been to the track, but im sure I will be impressed. If your going to buy a COBB AP, PAY THE EXTRA $50.00 USD for the Protune map.

I also considered the resale value. Unlike other MODS the AP will can be resold for about $550-$600 Unmarried. A loss of a $50-$100 is acceptable!!

My quams about the whole deal is the price. $650 is alot for the AP, considering VW and Audi AP's are signifiantly cheaper ($200 USD to $500 USD) and provide similar HP results. But hopefully with time, the prices will come down...

Pros: way more power; smoother power delivery
Cons: price, bulkiness, serial port connection (why not usb?)

I can't say anything that hasn't already been expressed.
I also got the TDC pro-tune for $55 (included in the $700 w/shipping). I think it was a good idea. Amazing, just amazing.

Pros: It will unleash the beast lurking within....
Cons: Zero

All I can say it that this product is great. I did not give it a 10 because I think the interface could be improved a bit (no USB) and it has a chunky display. But it does work wonders for your car. A must if you are going to mod. Also a great place to start.
Side note: I ordered from TDC and got the TDC stage one map. I would highly recommend doing this. It is much better than the Cobb map.
