hogmeat
Alright - this is a delicious meal. It's basically 3 pounds of meat and cheese. OK - Now I don't have any pictures for this...cause I haven't made it recently, but may soon. Perhaps another can get pics for us? Of course, you can double this if you like - as this "2 lbs" version is only enough for 2 grown men. 1lb 80% ground round (ground round for smoothness/texture, and 80% for grease!) http://www1.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/876862/2/istockphoto_876862_ground_beef.jpg 1lb hot italian sausage (more grease!) http://www.foodsubs.com/Photos/citaliansausage.jpg 1/3 lb Salami (grease!) http://www.recipetips.com/images/glossary/s/salami_genoa.jpg 1/3 lb Pepporoni (greasetastic!) http://www.talamospizza1.com/pepperoni.jpg 1 medium white onion http://grow.ars-informatica.ca/images/onion.jpg 1 cup tomato juice http://realestatetomato.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/juice_tomato_2.jpg 2 medium eggs http://kidscientist.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/08/eggs.jpg 2 cups whole milk mozzarella cheese (did i say grease?!?!) http://www.pierogiesplus.com/images/1mozzarella.jpg 1/2 cup breadcrumbs http://ninecooks.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/breadcrumbs.jpg Italian Seasonings (i.e. Mama Degrados, etc...) http://www.mccormick.com/assets/225_6345_italian.gif *Whip 2 eggs, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, tomato juice, seasonings *Throughly mix ground round and italian sausage; then combine egg mixture and mix again *Place on a large baking sheet that is covered with wax paper (don't skip the wax paper!) and press the meat mixture into a 1/2" thick paste *Chop onions and layer all on the top *Layer Salami and Pepperoni on the top *Layer Mozzerella cheese on top of all that goodness *Pat flat and smooth *Proceed to then "ROLL" the meat and goodies into a tight cylinder; like you are rolling a piece of paper to use as a "telescope". You don't have to go overboard on this, but a nice, tight, well held together roll will work great. *Place "meat tube" into a 1-2" deep glass baking pan *Bake @ 350* for 1h, 20m. *Enjoy *Get Quadruple Bypass I'm pleasantly surprised... It was most certainly worth the couple bucks and 10 mins of my time. CLICK HERE FOR THE HOGZAUST

I'm the president...of hittin' the ass!" -this is not a political view it's merely a quote from a hilarious tv show.

And that is fine. What makes American food so unique is that it can pull from the cuisine of many different cultures to create something new. After all, Italians wouldn't have spaghetti if not for China or muslims, depending on what story you believe.

Guest Gitster
And its called Italian because of the italian seasoning (made from italian herbs and spices) and italian meats. Doesnt mean its made by italians

GoRilla
Do you use the wax paper to help roll it? Kinda like a huge meat spliff? Maryland's Suby friendly Realtor. My favorite suby shop: http://www.IAGPerformance.com
Guest Gitster
Yeah, but not like a spliff You just roll it up real tight in the waxpaper, then remove it.
