I scheduled my car for Friday 4/8/2016 with:
9955 E Arapahoe Rd
Centennial, CO 80112
I showed up Friday and was told, "we only have one tech to do it. If you want, you can leave the car over the weekend and we might get it done, or bring it back Tuesday and we can give you a loaner."
I opted for Tuesday 4/12/2016 and the loaner.
Showed up Tuesday 4/12/2016 and was once again told they only had one tech available to do it and they had another car to do. I was told, "maybe they could give my car priority and do it first".
I mentioned the car has a failing injector and please don't drive it more than they have to. I noted mileage on the trip odometer was 6.x miles.
Late Tuesday afternoon I call in to ask for status and was told, "we haven't started on it yet, we'll have to keep it another day."
Late Wednesday afternoon I call in for status again and they said they'll be done by 5.
Got there, service rep Vince hands me the keys and says I'm all good. Got out to the car and notice it has 11.x miles on the trip odometer, 5 more than I left it with. Maybe they took it for a 5 mile drive to test for rattling?
Reach in to the glove box, but then it won't close. I try for about a minute and drive back around to the service desk. The service rep comes out and says, "oh, are you coming back about the glove box?" I said yes, he tells me it broke and they have a part on order (didn't tell me that before).
He also tells me the trip computer no longer works. I mention it did when I brought it in. He tells me because I've spliced a couple of wires back there it must be why it doesn't work anymore. I tell him, please don't mess with it, I'll figure it out on my own. I got home and there is a wire totally severed that I had to solder. I also find a loose broken screw in the dash behind the cubby.
Then I notice a bunch of deep scratches on the steering column like a gorilla was just prying and yanking. I tell him he needs to replace that as well, he agrees, but I get the impression he thinks I'm being unreasonable.
Finally I leave and on the way home notice a chunk out of the dash in the cubby area, like the tech pried with a screwdriver and wasn't careful. Don't even know what to do about that one.
Not to mention the dash was dirty as hell once they were done, the least they could have done is wiped it off with a rag. I might avoid AutoNation for the airbag recall.
