I'm back with new 1/4" EBCS fittings! These are mainly intended for those of us going stage 3 and finding that our new turbos have 1/4" fittings instead of the smaller stock size. These fittings are manufactured with the same quality and attention to detail as the tees above. They will fit any MAC valve based EBCS like the GrimmSpeed
, or AEM
I've had some help from a few members to test fit these guys, huge thank you to Saltysubie
for your help! Saltysubie posted some great pics & a writeup on the new fittings here
! Please see his post for pics of the EBCS installed in an alternate "COBB style" location.
Fittings installed in the EBCS
EBCS installed in the car
And a pic showing the line to alternator clearance
Here's the breakdown on the inlet port fittings.
Option 1: Use the EBCS's stock 1/8" straight fitting.
- Line goes out over alternator
- Line has a reducer inline (potential vacuum leak)
Option 2: 1/4" 90 fitting. Add you own 1/4" vac line.
+ No alternator clearance issues
- Need to stretch 1/4 vac line onto 3/8" inlet port
Option 3: 3/8" 90 fitting. Add your own 3/8" vac (or fuel) line.
+ No reducer needed
+ No stretch needed
- Fitting is bulky, may contact alternator
Here's a pic I took of the EBCS with the 3/8" 90 installed on an 08+ WRX. It was resting on the alternator case.
The fittings are nickel plated brass and should hold up to any abuse you throw their way. They are designed with a single barb each for great holding power and a good seal. The tees are made right here in the USA!
I will include high quality cable ties to secure your lines to the fittings.
One set of fittings and ties is $20 shipped
anywhere in the USA. Payments may be sent via PayPal using the link below.
The fittings will be shipped USPS First Class with tracking in a padded bubble mailer. Other shipping methods are available at additional cost. Post here or send me a PM to inquire.
You will need to pick up some 1/4" vacuum line at your local parts store.
I considered including it, but it would add too much to the shipping costs. Installation is pretty simple - remove your EBCS from the car and remove it's stock fittings. Clean up any sealant left in the ports and install your new fittings. The thread is 1/8" NPT, so you should be able to tighten them one or two turns past finger tight. I'd recommend the use of some sort of thread sealant - just don't go crazy and get too much inside the EBCS body. Re-install using your new 1/4 vacuum line. The new line should stretch and fit the port on your intake, just take your time getting it on there. Cable tie all the connections and you should be good to go. Now enjoy your new reducer-free install!
The default assortment will be two 90 degree fittings, one straight fitting, teflon tape and six zip ties. Custom orders welcome, if you would like something else please PM me.
Please click the PayPal button below to place your order. If you would like to order a tee with your EBCS fittings, please send me a PM! Please be sure to include your LegacyGT.com UserID in the notes!
Thank you and happy boosting!
