Hello all, first time i post an actual question in this forum so be gentle and i have search the sh!t of this topic and not really finding clear answers.
My wife has an 06 outback 2.5i 5mt. getting up there in miles about 160k. She likes the power of my stage 2 07 LGT.
First, Given a budget of about $3k, im curious if an EZ30 swap WITH the manual trans is possible without too much work. I like the idea of staying NA with her car and since i tow a small trailer with it every once in a while, i dig the idea of the extra torque.
Im not worried about the actual swap part, i guess im just curious if i'd run into any weirdness with the AT ECU and if there are any special considerations with drive by wire throttle.
Second question, assuming that i'd be open to going with an EJ255 instead if it were too much of a headache with the EZ30.. cheaper to rebuild, swap heads and convert EJ253 to E255 or just drop in a donor engine?
Third, what are the difference between forester and outback suspension? im interested in putting a little height on the outback
alright, my a$$ is ready to be kicked - thanks and cheers!
