!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!UPDATE DYNO SHEET NOW ON BOTTOM!!!!!!

Hello everyone, well its finally time. I will be building my lgt, ive had it in pieces for about 3 months and now everything that i was needing should be here this Thursday from Import image racing!!!, its going to be an interesting weekend. About 3 months ago i removed the blown stock turbo and decided to start collecting stuff for the build. I took of the intake manifold to preform the TVG deletes. one question i have that i noticed today when i was inspecting the engine was that i found some minimal rust on the valves where they close to the head (see pic), I'm guessing because its been exposed for about 3 months. I covered the intake ports with tape and a piece of mechanics paper towel prior, is this ok, normal or do i have a problem b/c of rust?. im going to clean it out the best i can with a small vac hose, but should i worry about this? let me know what yall think. Anyways so im going to be installing the following mods to see what kind of numbers i can put out with this tranny. I'm hoping soon in about 2 moths to visit HexMods for their tranny upgrades but untill then we will see what the stock tranny can handle. Im in Austin so of course i will be going to COBB to get this baby tuned. Ill post pictures of the parts and install. And obviously of the tune!! in a couple of days.

Parts:

BNR 20 G
Infamous oil line
TVG Deletes
Fast Motorsports FMIC
Walbro 255 Pump
Megan Racing Manifold with up pipe
Gimmick Inlet Hose and Maf hose
TurboXS RFL BOV
Deatschwerks 850cc injectors
Custom Single 3'' full catback
Cobb Catted Downpipe
AEM intake
AEM Boost gauge and controller
COBB For tune!!!

UPDATE!!!!!

well guys i finally got the car back from cobb after they had to swap out the Megan Racing Exhaust manifold and up pipe combo because it was defective and leaking like crazy at the collector...i shipped them my old stock one and got the car running with the stock manifold and a cobb up pipe with cobb heat shield. IM really happy with COBB in plano for doing the work needed to make the car to top shape. the car is running awesome with the tune and work they did to some other misc things.the car made 324 HP and 337 TQ with all the mods at 20 PSI with a 5EAT!!! i was hoping for more but soon enough after something i have planned for next summer comes by.. The drive back from plano to austin had me smiling from ear to ear, what a great feeling, car has great power and hearing the BNR 20 G turbo spool is amazing.

I will post a vid later tomorrow.... here is the dyno sheet....

Because single exhaust in dual exhaust cutout bumpers is even more hideous than single fartcans sticking out underneath bumpers with no cutout.

Then why didn't you just get a WRX? An LGT wont sound like a WRX...

depends on what year wrx you get....new wrx's are basically the same exact motor. gl with the build should be fun especially when the 5eat up to standards with the valve body

Touche'....Even with that point, his argument doesn't hold up. If he likes the sound of the newer WRX, then his LGT would sound similar already. But if it is the older rex's sound that he is after then he just needs to get an older rex. But, OP, I guess trying a single exhaust out for a little while wouldn't hurt anything. Although I think that you will be sadly disappointed at the sound difference between an LGT and a WRX.

You're not going to need a built 5eat for what you're doing unless you're going to run E85. You will however need to do something about that valve body. If you do come up this way, it would be a pleasure to meet you. You will find my modest garage to a lot smaller than Cobb's. It's just me doing this. However, it's perfect for my needs, and doing a valve body swap would be no problem.

ClimberD, thank you very much. I'm def going to be heading up there in about 3 weeks. I'm going to need the valve mod and.a couple more things from you. I will deff be contacting you then. I just have to get all the parts in and more money. Do you think i should to the valve body mod before tune or it will be ok?

It shouldn't really matter, but once the tune is done I would avoid shifts while giving it WOT, until the VB is brought up to snuff.
