Outback 2.5 XT Grille Gaurd

Recommended Posts

Bought my manual Outback on November 20 and so far, I absolutely love it!!! - aside from eventually getting wider tires, I've been thinking of eventually putting some tough looking accessories - ie a grille or brush guard, maybe one to fit some rally style driving lights. I've scowered through the 'net and couldn't really find anything specifically for it. Anyone know where I could find something like that? Thanks, Nawar

I don't know that he has pix of it up yet, but if you look at this link you can see a pic of one: http://subaruwrxparts.com/05legacy.html It's about halfway down.

I think its the Subaru standard grille gaurd for the Outback, I saw it at my dealer, and it's very "plastic-y" - I'm thinking of something a bit more aggressive, a bit more rallyish, that I can eventually put fog or driving lights on. Any other ideas? Thanks, Nawar

Ehhxactly, something like that, heh heh heh! I'd get one of those for mine. Someone was telling me last weekend that they saw a new OB with the older grab bar mounted on the rear hatch.

there is a guy down in Richmond that had bars custom made at a metal shop for his WRX wagon. They bolt to the front subframe.....ran around $300 I think. I know there are some pics online......trying to find where I saw them. EDIT: Found it: http://www.get-fast.net/r5/pics/img_6420.jpg The guy's name is 'Otto' - a good friend of mine is a buddy of his. I can track down what/when/where/how much for that guard if you want.
Isn't that the guy who got tired of his car getting bumped by parallel parkers?
I dunno. I know he does some rally and auto-x events, so he put them on to keep from bashing up the plastic.

The third pic down is along the lines of what I'm thinking, something one could take off whenever they like. I don't like the Richmond one as much, too low. Unfortunately, the one I like seems to be in Australia!

They should rename this one the "Garden State Parkway Bar"
