A+ rating for these guys.

I bought an 07 Legacy Spec B about 1 year ago. It started giving me problems on the way back from picking the damn thing up

I immediately brought it over to Mach V and had them take a look at it. They found the wrong spark plugs in it, a few minor boost leaks, and we took care of all those problems. It helped a bit but never really fixed the problem.

The car was having really strange problems off idle. It would hiccup and fall on it's face, start vibrating, stalling, throwing missfire codes. I had Mach V take a look initially and they weren't able to find any one particular problem based on the readings they took and the sensors they checked. They spent two days checking the car and couldn't figure it out. They really took care of me on the diagnostic fee and they did a complimentary oil change for me as it was due.

Per their reccomendation I took the car to the dealership to have them reflash the car and make sure it wasn't a problem with the ECU. The dealership called me up and said they fixed the problem, which of course they didn't, then tried to charge me an arm and a leg for it. If you can't fix my problem I understand, but don't lie to me and tell me it's fixed when it's clearly totally messed up. I gave them another chance at the dealer and they couldn't fix it.

Finally the car threw a P0021? code, and when I called Matt to tell him, he and Dan told me to bring the car in.

The next morning they called me back and said the car was fixed and gave me a very reasonable price for the repair. I didn't really believe it was fixed cause I had heard this many times. I went and picked up the car. It's fixed, drives better than it ever has.

They hooked up an oscilloscope to read the cam sensors and found that one sensor was all over the place and the other was fine. They then tried switching the Oil Control Valves to see if that was the problem and sure enough it was. They had the part immediately shipped from the dealership and now the problem is solved.

They had me test drive the car for an extended period of time before settling my full bill to make sure they got it right. I honestly didn't even need this gesture because I know these guys stand behind their work but it was really nice to see them make that effort.

Having dealt with all types of shops in the past, I was so extremely impressed with my experience. The guys were honest, they really spent time to figure out a strange problem, and were just as happy as I was to get to the bottom of it. It's a real pleasure to do business with a shop that takes pride in what they do. And to top it all off the prices were totally fair, particularly given the amount of hours I know they all had into it.

Thanks to all the guys at the shop. Particularly Deren, Matt, Dan, Evan, and Mike.
