So I have a 5EAT EDM 2012 Leggy GT with a hybrid VF-54/TD05H-18G billet compressor and a Snow Performance Stage 2 water-methanol injection kit with the other supporting mods required to run that set-up.
The car goes really well. However, the gearing on the car seems really tall. The thought was to change the final drive from the stock 3.083 to something shorter. Initially we thought it might be simple but it seems that the LGT 5EAT doesn't use an R160 diff, although the attachment points seems similar.
1) Has anyone changed their final drive?
- If so, did you fit an R160 ? Or something else?
- Did you have to change the propshaft, or swap to WRX rear driveshafts?
2) Do any other UDM cars use that skinny little diff that the 5EAT uses with a shorter ratio?
