It's been a couple years now, but if I remember right, everything was straightforward except for the part about using a short bit of fuel hose to seal the pump outlet into the housing. Not difficult, but it took some trial-and-error to get it right.
And there were moments when I wished for an extra hand or two, but I got the whole thing done on my own. I think the most awkward part was getting the pump housing taken apart... but like I said, it's been a while.
Disconnect the battery before you start, so as to avoid any electrical surprises. And no smoking.
I've had no problems with it at all since installing it, so I'm happy with this pump.
