im new to the legacy community just got a 2006 2.5i with 70,000 miles ive put two thousand on her.
on to the bad news i was driving up in the mountains today when i noticed a kind of rattling sound coming from the front drivers side its very subtle but enough to be really annoying especially considering its only a few month old car (to me anyways). sounds like its most likely a suspension issue.
so my question is for the mileage of the car (just over 72k now) is there any suspension parts that normally fail? if so what are they and how difficult are they to fix myself. i dont know everything about cars but i do manage to do most of my own maintenance that i can. i also work in maintenance so i can work my way around a tool set fairly well.
also if you guys had any resources on the regular maintenance of this vehicle it would be appreciate. the ones provided to me werent exactly the best. work be nice to have bolt torque specs. what type of oil i should be using etc. i think he's been running natural but i would really like to synthetic any problems with this i know they may cause leaks?
any help would be appreciated i love the car and its just a little frustrating when i want to go on windy back roads and have to deal with the noise. by the way it also seems to come in burst sometimes i dont hear it at all then it simply starts again. it mostly occurs when i hit bumps or the road surface isnt the greatest.
sorry if this is a repost and thanks for your help!
