The upgraded brakes on the Cadillac ATS are basic Brembos, and are extremely cheap, being a GM product. It seems they'll work with an STi rotor, and logically our cars as well, provided there's enough room.

Overall, they don't look quite as beefy as Subaru's OEM STi Brembo Calipers, and they aren't the prettiest with the Caddy logo... but Brembo
, so they'll most likely be a substantial upgrade for anyone in the Subaru community who is still on their stock sliding calipers. IMO the only possible flaw/weak point in the design is that the caliper must be angled from optimum (pic
), to accommodate the 4" vs 5" spread of the bolts. Definitely looking for feedback from someone in the know, will this cause any issues or pad wear inconsistencies?
I'm thinking about a set of them for the Saabaru, pending a few clearance questions. The biggest issue right now is that we may need to run an 18" wheel to fit the taller (but slightly slimmer) calipers. I think there will be more options for wheels, however, because of the added spoke clearance. Not confirmed whether we'll be able to grind down the bump on top of the caliper, nor if they'll clear 17"s once trimmed. There are a few people a few steps ahead over at the other forum, so check up on their thread
to be sure.
If you take the leap on these, please post up in here with updates... Group thinking on mods like this is an awesome way to move our LGT hobby forward, so thanks to everybody posting up in this thread. And thanks especially to Dispatch20
for finding the kit and bringing it up in the WDYD, in the first place!
