SOLD SOLD SOLD
Hey all,
I have a 5EAT transmission I just removed from a wrecked '05 Legacy GT with 85k on it. The car was hit in the direct front into a pole. I really just needed the engine but I have a few other parts I'd like to get rid of including the transmission. I was able to move it around my shop and run it through all 5 gears both in "D" and in manual mode. I was not able to test it on the highway or public streets due to the radiator being destroyed, but it was obviously in running shape when the owner plowed into a pole and I see nothing that would lead me to believe there is anything wrong with this transmission.
AT fluid is clear, no debris, no burnt smell. Center diff oil looks brand new.
The only imperfection is that one of the bolts broke from the rear mount during the wreck. It is pictured below. There are plenty of other fasteners securing this transmission to the chassis and 3 others right next to this one, I don't think one missing bolt would have any effect.
I see them listed on Car-part.com for $1500-$800 not including shipping and it's not clear if the torque converter is included at that price.
Mine includes the torque converter and flex plate. Code TG5C7CWABA-Z1
Lets start this one at $525 + shipping OBO.
Shipping will be truck freight and will cost between $100-$250 depending on how far away you live from Denver, CO. They can deliver to a business with a loading dock and forklift or to the nearest terminal for you to come pick up. Send me your ZIP code and I can give you a better quote on shipping.
I also have the rear diff available, stock AT 3.272 LSD. Will only work on 5EAT transmissions I believe. $200 + shipping by itself or $125 included with the transmission.

sent you a PM. Seems like a pretty hard impact to break a bolt on the transmission.

The car took a pretty good shot in the front, but the engine, turbo, etc were all fine. It's possible the bolt was already like that . The mount isn't really bent up bad.

I was very interested until I saw it was for an '05! I'd love a spare for my '06. I've already tried to drop in an '05 into my '06 last summer, kept getting codes for incorrect gear ratios.
Some other '05 owner should pick this up! Your price is good!

I believe they are the same transmission but an '05 trans must be mated with an '05 trans computer.
Bumpity, would love to sell this thing soon!

I tried everything to get it to work except swap to an '05 TCU to go with the '05 tranny. The wiring harness is different between the 2. We swapped all sensors from the '06 harness to the '05 harness, no luck. The location of the tail housing sensors are different between the 2 so we swapped the tailhousing from one tranny to the other, didn't work.
There are a couple of subtle differences in sensor placement for the center diff/tail housing and you may have luck swapping to different years with a TCU swap the same time as the tranny swap.
My 2nd '06 tranny came with a matching TCU but I didn't have to use it. So I can confirm same year swap without doing a TCU swap, too!
Good luck with your sale. Your price is great for the mileage.
