Hello. I'm fairly new to the forum. This is my first post so take it easy on me =P. I'll make this as detailed as I can to give you an idea of the history of the vehicle. If I get too detailed about it I'm sorry. I just see too many posts where there isn't enough detail, and I want to get it right the first time =P, but anyway....
So here's the history of the car. I have a 2006 Legacy GT (5spd MT) it has 115k miles. I had bought it about 3 weeks ago from a fairly reputable dealer. Before I bought it I checked out the Carfax and saw some service records done. I then called to the dealer/garage where the service was done and they said that they replaced the turbo and put in a long block about 4 months ago. So I thought cool sounds like a good deal, and it was the exact car I was looking for so of course I drove it and bought it. Just thought I'd share a bit of history of the car to kind of give you all an idea of what is going on.
As far as performance mods go I just have a Cobb AP I had gotten yesterday. I loaded Cobb's Stock Map for logging purposes before doing any kind of stage 1 flash and messed a bit with launch control and the flat footed shifting. Other than that everything else is stock (Unless you want to count my Hella Supertones and my yellow Lamin-X fog light covers =P).
Well yesterday while I was driving down a back road I noticed that my transmission was making bumping noises when I was shifting in between gears sometimes (Not every time). Then I noticed that when I was driving the car a little harder that when I was switching gears and leaving out the clutch to engage in the next gear my car had the effect of putting on the brakes for a second or two (like nose dive a bit) and then it would just grab and go and drive as normal (Again it's not every time, but is becoming a bit frequent). When I baby the car it doesn't seem to do it or at least not near as noticeable. When I'm fully engaged and driving down the road without shifting the car seems fine and smooth.
So what do you think? Maybe transmission mount.. Differential... Clutch...or even worse.. An all out Bad Transmission....
Sorry if everything is jumbled... I tried =P
