looking to do a center console swap on my 97 legacy gt to the on with the cup holder by the ebrake handle, is it the 02-03 wrx one that will fit?

no it will not, you'll need the whole center console and the trimming involves cutting about .5" off of the end that meets the radio bezel, the rest will match the existing holes

i dont really see the benefit of the Forester ones... at least first gen foresters anyways, theyre pretty similar to the legacys, no cupholders
