no they only need to be re-registered when sensors are changed, aka putting on other rims because most people aren't going to try to swap them over. rotating has no effect. apparently you can buy an extra tpms computer and swap that when you swap your wheels to have a working tpms with 2 sets(or more) of rims without having to re-register all the time.... but that's an expensive way to replace a $5 pressure gauge
