Wuz up Subaru lovers?
I'm a Colorado native and proud owner of 2 Subies, an 05 Outback Wagon 2.5i purchased brand spanking new and now has 140k miles. I call it Beast and it has done everything I've ever asked of it. I just recently purchased an 05 Legacy GT with 99k on it, and will be calling it Beauty. Ha, see what I did there?
The GT has already had a turbo replacement, new radiator, and I've got a power steering pump ready to go in. The turbo replacement was a nightmare to deal with at Groove Subaru, but that's another story. I'm pretty certain she was tuned before this mess because the power isn't there like it was when I bought it, and I had a severe studder/hesitation after the turbo was replaced. I asked them to flash the ECU when the turbo was replaced, but they didn't do it, so I had to return a second time to have it reverted to stock. The studder/hesitation problem is better now, but I'm determined to overcome it.
I've got intentions to go Stage 2 with it, and I'm guessing I'll probably have the itch to go Stage 3, but not sure if the wallet will ever allow for that.
I'm going to Max Motors on Friday, as I saw they were recommended in the Mountain West forums to see about dialing in the studder/hesitation issue.
Anyway, I'm excited to finally own a Subie with a hood scoop! I'm one of those guys that knows enough about cars to be dangerous and not want to just drop it somewhere and pick it up a few hours later. I wanna talk shop and performance and be more than a spectator regarding fixing/tuning my car. If I can do it myself, I will. If I can't, I wanna know that it's in good hands.
I look forward to getting to know some more of you Subie lovers through this forum!

Welcome! If you haven't already, check out awdpirates.net as well. I use to live in Englewood but moved back to MN last year. I miss CO and my wife misses Park Meadows. Enjoy the Subarus

Welcome.
There is a lot of info here for your car's long life. Check the banjo bolt filters and if they are present remove them. The hesitation or stumble can be a number of different things. Once again do a search and you will get multiple threads with info.

I will check that out. I work in ND so I know the cold you've gotta deal with in MN. Thanks for the welcome

Believe me, I've been living and breathing these forums since I had the turbo replaced. They told me they would install new banjo bolts without the screens when I had the turbo replaced. It was a failed turbo, so I had the pan dropped, etc. I'm slowly working through the car with Stage 2 in mind as I do. Somehow, I let the dealership talk me out of the VF52 and they put in the VF40. If I only knew now...

I'll push the 40 a little and take care of air flow in and out. That will add some fun without pushing the suspension too much. It is my wife's daily driver after all
