Does anyone know if the stock brake calipers on the 2.5GT and 3.6R are interchangable?
Same part numbers?

And more importantly - do the brake components (especially the calipers) cross-reference with any other models:

•2008-2012 Subaru Impreza WRX (maybe?)
•2009-2010 Subaru Impreza 2.5 GT (maybe?)
•2012 Subaru BRZ (doubt it)
•2009-2012 Subaru Forester 2.5L (doubt it)
•2010-2012 Subaru Outback 2.5L (doubt it)

Before posting, I did search the forum a bit (including in the 'Parts from other models/years that fit our 5th gen' thread) and couldn't find an answer...

fredrik94087's recent post shed some light on the 2008+ WRX rotor/pad compatibility with the 2.5i
(plus outlines a lot of other useful 5th gen brake upgrade info!) http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost....&postcount=298

I had to update one part of my post, as I found that KNSbrakes sells a kit for the rear, but I have not yet checked Fred beans.

As far as 2.5gt to 3.6, I checked both for 2012 on tire rack.

3.6

I can tell you that the Brembo brake kit has the same part number for both the 2.5gt and 3.6r, but I can NOT tell you if the OEM parts are interchangeable

I looked on Brake Warehouse recently and the D numbers (all brake pads have a D number denoting their shape) were different for the '08 WRX and the '10 LGT fronts. That obviously means the calipers don't interchange as well.

Well, I'm sure if you swapped calipers, pads, and rotors from the 08 WRX they'd more than likely fit. I don't know if it would be better or worse, but it'd fit.
