Thought I'd throw this out there. I've been tuning my vehicle for the past couple months and I was wondering if my current setup will be a potential limiting factor on itself. HERE
is my tuning thread for reference.
Anyway, the only thing that you need to know for this inquiry is the wastegate setup. Some of you may know that the AVO450 turbo has a divorced wastegate. I also run the Invidia Downpipe which in kind has a divorced style bellmouth. Initially, for this to work, I had to grind down the tang on the downpipe so it was flush with the flange. However, it was not previously my intention to run with an EWG. I am now running an EWG with the bracket holding the IWG closed.
Basically, because both the wastegate and DP are divorced, only one side of the bellmouth is being used while the other side is completely cut off. Is this a bottleneck that will severely restrict what my setup is capable of and should I look to sell it in favor of an open bellmouth design? Or am I over thinking it and would any gains from another DP just be negligible at best?
