So I've been a long time lurker and I finally pulled the trigger and bought myself an '05 Legacy GT Limited Silver Wagon 5EAT w/96,000 for $11,000 out of New Jersey. It has a complete service history all done at the same dealership it was bought from new and it's only had 1 owner. The car is registered with Carfax and I got a complete report. I live in New Paltz,NY in the Hudson Valley. I have been a fan of the 2005-2009 Legacy GT Wagons for a long time and I have always wanted one. I discovered your site a few months ago when I began looking for one to buy. I found out quickly that these cars are hard to come by for sale. People tend to hold onto them for a long time. I had to expand my search outside the 100mile range in order to finaly find one and it just so happened to be the exact color/trim package combo that I was looking for. I am a tuner by heart and I love to wring out as much powe, handling and style as I can from my vehicles as long as I can keep them as my daily driver. After doing a ton of reading and searches on the forums here I have decided what I would like to do with my new GT Wagon. Please anyone correct me if I am wrong in any way or if you have any suggestions. Here are my plans in order:
First some maintenance:
I will get the 105,000 mile service done including getting thetiming belt and water pump replaced. I will have the banjo bolt cleaned and/or replaced and clean the MAF sensor, and replace all fluids with synthetics. (Should I get the radiator flushed?)
Performance:
Cobb AccessPort Tuner,Cat-less Downpipe,Cat-Less UpPipe,Cat-Back Exhaust,Cobb brand Intake.Have the DP & UP wrapped,Upgraded TMIC,Silicone hose from MAF to Throttle Body,Lightened Flywheel and then take it to Brentuning nand have him tune it for me.
Suspension:
Koni Struts with STi Wagon Pink Springs,4 new top hats and new front spring perches.
Transmission:
HexMods F1 Valvebody Mod,A trans cooler and leave it in Sport Mode.
I will continue to research the forums for apearance and style options although I do have an idea of what route I would like to take with the wagon. So now I am open for any thoughts, critiques, advice, suggestions, etc.
Also,I will be looking to buy all my performance items second-hand so if anyone has any of these items for sale please let me know as I am looking to buy them ASAP:
Cobb AccessPort Tuner
Cat-Less DP
Cat-Less UP
Cat-back Exhaust
Cobb Brand Intake
Upgraded TMIC
Lightened Flywheel
Koni Struts (Wagon)
STi Pink Springs (Wagon)
HexMods F1 Valvebody
TransCooler
Silicone hose from MAF to ThrottleBody
Thanks again for having such a wonderful site and I look forward to meeting some of my fellow New England area owners.

Welcome and congrats on your dream car. I looked long and hard for a wagon before I stumbled onto my sedan with a blown engine. Worked out good fro me anyway as I was planning a build.
