I cant find the information i need anywhere. I have a 2012 Subaru legacy 2.5l.

Im looking to vinyl wrap my trim, but i havent been able to find any info on how to take the door panels off properly

also i want to install a stereo, but im not sure how to take out the center console. I searched the forum, but i had trouble understanding the instructions. Sorry for my lack of knowledge... im kind of a noob. Most def not used to working on subarus.

Also do you guys have pics of your diys? if so please feel free to post it would help me out

Here's info on door panel removal. If you scroll up in the thread there's more info on trim removal as well. Be careful when putting the door panels back on as its very easy to bend and/or break clips, make sure to follow the proper order when putting the clips back in.

Wish I had found this thread when I was replacing my broken mirror yesterday! Went in a slightly different order for popping the clips, but relatively close...

Suave, my $0.02 from removing the door panel yesterday... it takes a fair amount of force to get it started... After removing the screws I was really worried about the amount of force I was exerting, but eventually I got over it and steadily increased the pressure until it popped. Then worked my way around. Also, once you've gotten it free of the clips, pull the bottom of the panel out (maybe a 30 degree angle) and then slide it up to get the top edge free (that hangs on by the window). Good luck!

thanks guys i appreciate it, ill try my best to pop the panels out hopefully. The center console is a B**** i still havent figured out how to pop it out, and the manual didnt really help me. It would be nice if someone made videos since the model is so spanking new.

The center console you first need to remove the shifter and then you can pop out clips. Make sure you are slow and careful as there are wires you can rip.

Given the amount of audio upgrades/swaps that Coppertone (username) has done, he might be a good one to be in contact with! He also tends to sell audio components at dirt cheap prices, which could also help you! I'd PM him if I were you!
