Hey, I am running against a problem in my gt, this typically happens when the car is in 4th, it's a 5eat but I have used the tiptronics to check gears. When is at 2k on the tach, no matter how heavy or light I press the accelerator, it will barely accelerate until it hit around 2.5k then it will jump up fast. I was also smelling a light burnt oil smell today that went away after a little bit. THe car recently had a valve job done on it and the head replaced, along with a new cat. ANy thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

I'm in Beaverton, Or. I'm not a big fan of the shop that did the work - I recently bought the car and immediately had it in the shop for 2 months due to those repairs and the dealership had to foot the bill, however they chose the shop. I was referred to PDXTuning, but they have no availability until next week.

There is
garage DVO in salem
HMS (horizontal motorsports)
COBB
PRE
Ricks Superior Auto in Milwaukie

Those are all the preferred local shops in random order. Try giving them all a call. I had a friend in Hillsboro who did a lot of Subie work for cheap but he just moved away unfortunently.

Open up the hood when you smell the burning, if there is smoke coming from turbo are get that checked soon! Same thing just happened to my car. It's turbo replacement time for me.

Nah Chase, no smoke from there. Oil smell only happened once, hasn't come back thankfully. I actually think it was the gas - I let it run to empty then did a refill at a different chevron and it cleared up instantly. Either was the wrong octane or some water or something in the tank, b/c it was running like shit....
