Just wanted to post an introduction since I'm new to the forum. I'm in the middle of purchasing an '05 Legacy GT, satin white, auto. I stumbled across the forum looking for info and trying to educate myself about the brand and model. This forum seems to be a wealth of knowledge and good folks. I'm currently driving an '07 XTerra and '09 Accord EX (wife's). Prior to that I was a VW fan and drove a Jetta VR6 Wagon. Thanks for the great group, I look forward to learning and spending time here in the future.

Totally recommended...I have an 05 LGT coming over from owning STI's and Evo's...it's very comfortable and fast...a nice blend of luxury and sport...I'm just getting older and tired of spanking the Honda fanboys...LOL! I have a total sleeper that the police don't take a second look at...just how I like it.

I test drove the auto (does the one you're looking at have the paddle shifters?)...with the paddles and it was different...kind of liked it. It's pretty roomy inside, quiet, and easy to drive...The turbo definitely makes it a fun car to drive and hills are like nothing.

I currently have a manual and liking it. The manual stock gearsets are very strong...very similar to the STI gearset...so unlike the weak link on the WRX's, you're good if you decide to go manual and add power later.

Yeah, it's got the shifter "buttons" on the wheel. I felt kinda dumb, I thought they were maybe volume control for the stereo but to my suprise the car started down shifting, haha. Good thing I was going relatively slowly. I've seen plenty of DSG, paddle shifters, etc. but from the looks of these I had no idea they were shifters. Me = nEwb.
