I appreciate fun cars regardless of origin
I bought the Mustang when I was 16. I love the noise it makes, it was fast (or I thought it was when I got it). Easy to work on, parts are cheap. It was also surprisingly well put together - bad materials and panel gaps wide enough to drive through, but no creaks or groans from the interior.
This winter kind of showed me it was time for a new ride, and the Subaru just happened to fit all the check boxes. Not FWD, good power, can easily make more power, good handling, decent gas mileage, classy interior/exterior (not boy-racer like the WRX/STi). The price/mileage was right on this one as well.
I also own a 95 Miata with a roll bar, aluminum seat, and full suspension that I track. I don't need two impractical cars xD
