"Perhaps you already know but our 05, if the key is left in the ignition, will not allow locking of the doors (unless one locks all 4 of them manually). I did however lock our keys into the trunk when I was retrieving something for my wifey. Another time I accidentally locked them in the car (out of the ignition). That's when I saw how easy it is for a knowing person to get into our cars without the framed windows...... "^That is a bunch of b/s It's 0 degrees (literally) here in Mn so I go start my car & when I get back out there, the doors are locked:/Idk, maybe I hit the lock button on my way inside. It's 2nd nature...but that's not my point. Our vehicles aren't SUPPOSE to "let" the doors lock when the key is in the ignition.Am I wrong?Coat hanger works great ...not with push buttons though.Been running for 4 hours straight lol

Apparently the cold has made it impossible for you to type, or to think of a descriptive title??
You can very easily lock the keys in the car. You have two options. Keep trying with a coat hanger or something, or give the dealer your VIN and provide proof of ownership and have them cut you a new key. The car will probably run out of gas before that happens, so I suggest also picking up a gas can to fill it up.
Why don't you have a spare key?

Dumb things will happen.. Get yourself a spare and put it in your wallet.

My aunt locked her keys I her 2010 Pathfinder. She got a spare after it happened . Locked her keys again and still couldn't open the car. I asked her just to use her spare. Looked me straight in the face and said, "I don't have it, I put it in the same keyring as my keys so I wouldn't lose it."

I had Home Depot cut me a key for $2. It won't start the car, but will open it if I lock the keys in. I keep it in my wallet, because the chances of me locking both my wallet and the keys in the car are pretty slim.

well i noticed when i had the back bumper off..
but you will probably damage the bracket as the bumper is bolted in side of the trunk. but its probably the cheapest thing you can break to get into your car.
