Just some observations comparing my 13' Legacy Sort trim CVT to my wifes 11' Legacy Premium 6 speed manual.

First off the thing that stuck out to me was how vanilla plain MY 13' Legacy gauges are (speedo/tach, etc) Is it me or can you NOT get any plainer than gauges in the 13' Legacy??? what is up with that?

On the 11' Legacy the gauges have some style and different colors, much flashier in my opinion.

Seats on the 11' Legacy seem bigger, harder and the lumbar support blows up lower in your back than the 13'

Seats in 13' are smaller, softer and lumbar support blows up a hair higher in low back...

Rims on 11' are puny at 16" vs 18" rims on 13' Sport trim.....

and ofcourse gas mileage is a bit better on my 13' CVT equipped Legacy

So far those are my observations....

They are just plain black but the blue fade on the 2011 looks like it's 14 years old. Hardly worth bragging about.

2013

2011

When I drove a 2013 it felt like the seats were the exact same????

weak observations imho.

Gauges should be clean, legible and easy to read. I have an '11, your 13's are proper. Plus you've got an engine temp gauge instead of that stupid fuel economy gauge!

2013

.
Those gauges are only in the limited trim - the other trims get this, which is pretty plain compared to the pre-2013:

The central display in the 2013 is much better looking. The retro scirocco style plain gauges are good looking. The 2012 aren't bad though. The mpg vacuum gauge thing is worthless too.

I'd be curious about the 18s, how do you like them? I'm wondering if they make for a rough ride?

Well, the gauges on my Sport 2.5i are quite plain and would love to have the ones on the Limited, but oh well.... atleast I have the 18's!!!

Speaking of the 18's the handling is quite good and the ride doesnt seem much rougher than the premium I drove with 17's.....

The CVT is gonna take some time for me to get used to, but to be honest I may never get used to it, because it feels like an automatic that is slipping but everyone has has been telling me"welcome to the world of the CVT"

Its funny, I test drove a 13' accord sport with CVT and it was quite responsive and felt a bit different than the Legacy CVT.... BUT the seats and lumbar support were awful, like a knee in your middle back and the seats were not heated and there was no sunroof.... But you can get one for $22,500 OTD with some internet bargaining.... and those 18's look great on that car...

Another grievance I have with the Legacy is the crappy EL 400 turunza tires.... the accord had $300 michelin primacy skins, BUT again despite all of this the Legacy is the car I preferred!!!

This is what I'm wondering about. Particularly, have they fixed the handling issue this car has in windy conditions?
