Time to Replace the Spec B Struts...

Recommended Posts

Its time to replace the struts on my '07 Spec B. I'm quite happy with the stock package, I think its a great balance, a smooth easy driver and responds nicely when I asked for more. I drive 500 freeway miles a week so I'm not looking to give up much in ride quality. So my first thought was just go with OEM replacements... tell I saw the price.

I did a bit of searching and it looks like the HD Bilsteins are the most direct replacement and can be had for about half the price. But they are said to be a bit stiffer, so my question is how much stiffer than the stock Spec B strut? Am I going to notice a significant change?

Hey Gary (All Talk)

You used to own a gen 1 turbo Legacy and hang out on legacycentral, right?

I had a '93 turbo-Leg that I spent a lot of time with.

interesting we have the same car... again! (Love my stg2 specB)

Sorry, I'm not much help with your inquiry. Maybe look into re-valving (Feel, or something) your stockers?
