Bald Spot On Carpet

I've slowly gotten this bald spot on my carpet and it's getting worse as time goes by. After 4 years, it looks like this:

This morning I finally thought about why this happened and realized it's from my heel turning as I exit the car. Anyone else have this? Do I get out of my car in a weird way?
