I thought I could deal with it but I really can't. The bass in the HK audio is a piece of shit. It can't handle a lot of ranges when it comes to bass. Songs like "On To The Next One" - Jay Z sound like shit without the bass. I'm looking to spend $100-250 for something that can handle all the bass range. Please let me know if you got any ideas. Thank You

Hmmmm... Is it the subwoofer that sounds like shit or is it the underpowered amp. causing the sub to sound like shit. It could also be the location and the structure of the sub enclosure, that's my two sense. Not sure if it would be beneficial to just replace the sub in the stock location, where other factors could be contributing to the poor sound quality.

I've tried a replacement sub. Didn't do too much. If you want more bass, you probably won't be happy until you get a new amp and subwoofer. Can get an amp that takes high level inputs and tap into the wires that run to the stock sub.

I just set my lowest band in the EQ to 60hz and +3-5db depending on the song and set the Q to 2 to make sure it bumps the low freq (to prevent the overwhelming booming from the fronts). Seems to work ok for me.

Not possible. Double the budget. Check craigslist, kijiji, local forums, friends to see who is selling GOOD name brand equipment for CHEAP.

You want a 12" sub and 600 - 1000watts monoblock amp to start.
