I was investigating my air con/radio unit today and when i removed the gear stick cover and ash tray, i noticed a small switch on the right. I couldnt see where it led to after much effort! But i've no idea what it does if I switch it off.
Anyone else know what it could be?
I tried and considered the following: Alarm Bypass, Ignition bypass, Boost controller switch, ABS off swtich, Hidden lights....
Pics to follow soon!

To prevent someone to open the trunk from inside the car.

No, but they do have a keylock on the trunk release, which is down by your left foot.
My guess is a previous owner of your car put that switch in.

sounds like an aftermarket alarm valet switch that no one ever really installs properly... or needs...

Sorry for the delay, had a crazy weekend. Here it is,
Its located on the bottom right behind where the ashtray is, under the AC unit. my car is RHD so i'm guessing it was put on that side for a reason....

See if the wires goes to the place that the green connectors are. The ones you put together to Flash new maps to the ECU.
I did that to mine, make it easier to flash maps.

Toggle the ability to write to the ecu but that still looks like a valet switch... Very after market and definitely not stock

So you can flick a switch to flash & then drive after you loaded a new map. Instead of crawling under the dash & pulling the green connectors out from under the carpet in the foot well. To connect & unconnect the green connectors.
Green connectors are only together when flashing you ECU.
