Hello, first I wish to thank everyone for any and all advice and help that will be offered to what I am sure will be a multitude of questions regarding the 2001 Legacy L Wagon my wife and I acquired a few months ago.
First question is about the temperature spikes that are occurring whenever I am slowing down and going through any turns that I need to make. Just installed a brand new thermostat that did not alleviate this issue.
Second question is about any possible way to disable the fact that the A/C compressor shuts down intermittently while driving. Reason for my asking about how to disable this from happening is due to the fact that I have the wonderful misfortune to have been diagnosed as having multiple sclerosis, back in February of 1989. I do not deal well at temperatures in excess of 68F, so when the compressor shuts down, I am in big trouble. I hope some of the geniuses here will be able to help me with a solution to get my A/C compressor to stay on until I shut it down myself.
As I said earlier, I will appreciate any and all help that will be offered to me here, I hope to keep this Subaru on the road for at least as many miles as when we first got it (164K). Looking forward to hearing from you fellow Subaru owners, take care, GREGORY
