I'm already start looking for available aftermarket suspensions for my car. In 15 to 30 days from now, I would probably have installed my new 19 inch rim/tires. My next upgrade to my legacy will be to change suspension. I want to list all the available aftermarket suspensions for our car. If you were me, which brand will you select and why?

1. TEIN TYPE FLEX Coilover
2. Bilstein B12 Strut with HR spring
3. KW Coilover
4. RS*R Coilover
5. HKS Hipermax 3 Coilover

My friend advise me to get the RS*R coilover, he said it is quite good. Does anyone has experience with this brand of coilover? www.rs-r.co.jp

I saw the picture of RSR BRZ coilover, the quality seems quite good.

Any links to Tein Flex availability? Their US site only lists Flex for the 05-09 Gt's

I don't like teins or rsr. I'd recommend kw v3, then bc racing's br with swift springs.

Listing all of them would be too much effort. Pretty much any 08+ WRX coilover fits. The 08+ STI coilovers do not fit however.

RSR has always been known to make decent parts. I didn't even know they made Subaru coilovers, must only cater to the Japanese market.

Are the 08+ WRX parts the same height or does it lower the car?

Same height as what? Stock shocks and springs?

Any set of coilovers is going to be slightly lower than stock shocks/springs even on the max settings.

Swift was dyno testing RSR's springs (they test all their competitor's products) and it snapped.

Yes, I meant the same height as stock shocks and springs. In other words if I were to bolt up the oem shocks & springs from an 08+ WRX would I retain the same ride height?

I don't think it would be the same, and I believe if you get WRX coilovers, you'll have to use Legacy's tophats. Why not just get BC racing's br coilovers? They made it for our car and it comes with pillowball mounts and they also offer swifts spring option. Front cambers are also adjustable.

Actually, the BC coilover is quite popular here in China due to its lower price (less than USD 1K). Maybe I can also consider this. Any feedback about the ride quality and the reliability?

It seems only available in Japanese website.

http://www.tein.co.jp/srch/eng_searc...5&srchfrwd=BM9

I've got a brochure here provided by the seller.

TEIN is also quite popular here in China, I have a friend who had this on another car, he said the TEIN had a tendency to vibrate when you brake suddenly.

I don't know if other people had this issue too. The seller had also confirmed this.
