Does anyone here also experience a mileage drop with using heated seats? I am looking at a 15% drop with just 20 minutes of usage of both seats each day.

How much power does one heated seat use on high setting? I wonder if the mileage drop is related to extra load on the alternator.

Not sure about that one. I'm just saying that winter gas blends often return lower MPG's, and since you only use your heated seats when it's cold, it's likely that using the heated seats also correlates with putting winter gas in your car. The drop in MPG has nothing to do with heated seat use, but just the switch in seasons and thus the switch in gas.
Just a guess.

I get better mileage on the winter blend. I don't see how heated seats could possibly affect gas mileage. Yes, I have heated seats.

The heater circuit has a 15A fuse to power both seats, so use of the heater certainly isn't drawing down mileage by any appreciable amount.

Wow, I've always lost about 1.5-2 mpg on winter gas.

I hope that doesn't happen. I don't want to be getting 16 MPG.

According to the car computer I was getting 23.5mpg on summer blend, and 25.5mpg on winter. However, I suspect that removing the roof rack for winter has more to do with it than the gasoline blend

Nope. This map from May 2011 shows the various local blends required by state/local laws. Anyone who wants to complain about the price of gas should know that this map shows the biggest part of the problem.
